Donations

We appreciate your cooperation in making a donation.

Osaka-born architect Tadao Ando has designed and built a building in Nakanoshima Park, then generously donated it to Osaka City, to be used as a facility for fostering children’s creativity through books, arts, and culture.

Located in the heart of central Osaka, with its abundant historical and cultural assets, Nakanoshima is a hub of culture, art, academia and international exchange where many people gather. We are committed to create a facility with new attracting features, where children can come into direct contact with high quality and diverse arts and culture, including literature.

We are accepting donations in order to maintain the facility as a place for children of Osaka to foster their creativity and sensitivity. To create this facility as a symbol of hope for children’s future, we kindly ask for your support.

How to Support

●Individual Donation

  • You can donate online or by an application form. If you apply online with your credit card, it will be processed on the same day.
  • Taxation benefits are applied depending on the amount of your donation. For more information and the procedures for taking the deduction, please refer to the brochure

●Corporate Donations

  • For corporate donations, please set the amount and select from single payment or 5-year installment options.
  • Please contact the Cultural Affairs Department for other installment options.
  • The full amount of the donation is tax-deductible.

●Benefits (for all donors)

  • If you make a donation, your name or the corporate name will be listed on Osaka City official website.
  • If you make a donation of 100,000 yen or more, we will present you with the Mayor’s Certificate of Appreciation.
  • If you make a donation of 300,000 yen or more, a nameplate with your name or the corporate name will be presented in the facility.

  • After filling out the information, please send it in Excel format to the above email address.
  • If not sending by e-mail, please download the application form below, print and fill it out, and send it to the address indicated on the application form (Cultural Section, Culture Department, Osaka Economic Strategy Bureau).

(2) Payment
  • We will send you a payment slip in 1-3 weeks from the date of application.
  • Please make the donation at your local financial institution or ATM with the payment slip (no service fees).
  • We will send you a receipt once the payment is confirmed.

Corporate Donations

Please fill out both (1) Donation Application and (2) Payment of Donation. After confirming (1) and (2), Osaka City will send you a receipt.

(2) Payment of Donations

  • Please fill in the “Payment slip/Receipt” and pay at your local financial institution, except for Japan Post Bank and Post Office. (No service fees.)
  • Please be sure to enter a “¥” before the amount.
  • Please make sure that all three sheets of the “Payment and Receipt”, “Counterfoil” and “Income Report” are filled in.
  • After confirming the payment, we will send you a receipt.
  • If you have not received the receipt after 3 months of payment, please contact the Cultural Affairs Division.
